FAQ’s

We have created this section to help answer some common questions you may have, and allow you to get the most of your alpaca experience.

  • We operate our alpaca experiences each week and bookings must be made in advance. Our experience can be booked HERE.

  • All bookings are done online. Please select our alpaca experience and follow the booking instructions on the page. Bookings must be made at least 24 hours in advance. Weekends and school holidays are especially busy so we recommend booking a few weeks in advance.

  • When booking if the calendar is only letting you select 1 from the drop-down menu, this means that there is only one space left for that experience. If you are booking for 2 or more people, you need to select a time and date which will let you pick 2 or more from the drop-down menu. This will ensure that you have booked the correct number of spaces for your experience as 1 person = 1 space.

  • Our alpaca experience involves some standing and walking through fields that maybe uneven and muddy. Unfortunately, due to Health & Safety we cannot allow wheelchairs, pushchairs or walking aids on our experience. You are however welcome to wait at our reception area for friends or family to continue their experience.

When bringing young children, adults must feel confident that their child can walk and stand for around 90 minutes. If they cannot, you must bring a sling or a carrier as we cannot authorise pushchairs.

We do reserve the right to refuse you participation of the experience if we feel it is a risk to your own safety. In this instance you will lose your experience as no refund will be given.

  • For our experiences we run a strict policy with regards to latecomers. You MUST be checked in at the reception 15 minutes before your experience start time. Our experiences start on time and it is essential that you are signed in and ready to start your experience on time. The experience starts with a health and safety briefing and it is for this reason we are unable to accept latecomers in any circumstances. We will do all we can to reschedule you, however, no refund will be given.

  • We are not medically qualified. It remains your responsibility to undertake such an assessment prior to the experience. However, we do reserve the right to refuse you participation of the experience if we feel it is a risk to your own safety.

  • If you would like to change or amend your booking there is a link on the bottom of your confirmation email. If that does not work, please email info@minifarmalpacas.co.uk Please note that we require 48 hours’ notice with regards to the changing or cancelling your booking.

  • Please wear sturdy footwear as the ground is uneven and may be muddy. Wear clothes that you don't mind getting a little bit dirty. Our alpaca experience allows you to get up close and personal with our animals and they may rub up against you. Bring waterproof clothing if rain is forecast. Remember we are in Wales. Our reception area does accept cash or card. We sell some alpaca merchandise, snacks and cold drinks.
