A Busy Month

The start of June was very busy. We had contractors on-site and work was completed on the bottom entrance. We still have all the fencing to do, but at least we were able to bring our welfare caravan on to the land. This provided some much needed shade, a place to rest and make a brew.

Our main focus during the month has been the rejuvenation of the woodland separating the two fields. The woodland was so dense, nothing was growing on the ground and the trees were all fighting for sunlight. We hired a wood chipper and must have created around ten tonnes of chippings. These will be used to help level Amandas garden area.

We hope to have the top field (this is where the alpacas will live) ready for the contractors to return at the end of June, then we will hopefully welcome some of our new herd at the end of July.
